Hi, I am Roland Nadeau and I am the "new guy" to KCRN. I was born in Moosup, Connecticut which makes me a real "Connecticut Yankee" . I was voted " most talkative" in the graduating class of 1972 from Plainfield High School, home of the fighting Panthers. I attended the Ratcliffe Hicks School of Agriculture at the University of Connecticut Storrs campus.
I applied to and was accepted into the Peace Corps in 1974 and spent the next two years teaching Agricultural Science in Jamaica WI. While there I made a friend who invited me to California at the end of my tour in Jamaica.
I travelled  to California and worked for Sears then G.T.E. as a Directory Assistance Operator. I climbed the ranks during my employment with G.T.E. going from operator, to installation, to repair to PBX installation and finally to Special equipment controller tester. While working for G.T.E. I met my wife, Denise, and have been married now for 31 years. We have two daughters Renee and Jennifer. While living in California my wife and I were constantly running from " corporate downsizing". We moved from Santa Monica to Chatsworth to Newbury Park before leaving California on a transfer to Zephyrhills,Florida.
I had numerous career opportunities in Florida, the most memorable being a Pasco County Sheriffs Office dispatcher. My wifes career took another turn and G.T.E. "invited" us to move once again this time to San Angelo, Texas.
This turned out to be a very important move for me and my family. Once we arrived in San Angelo a friend of mine invited me to a Promise Keeper meeting in San Antonio, Texas. It was on the floor of the Alamo Dome that I got "Saved" in 1999!! I now consider myself a Texan by "rebirth".
Within 4 months of my salvation the Lord saved my wife and my two daughters. Our lives have been changed radically. I have been on mission trips to Africa, Mexico, and New York ( right after 9/11 at ground zero!!). My daughter Renee has been to Ireland on a mission trip. My wife has a ministry watching children 0-2 out of our home many of them needing as much love as can be given.
We are blessed with a grandson, Jaxon, who is the love of our life. He will be three in December.
I am richly blessed and thoroughly enjoy working at KCRN.  It is funny how God took a desire I had early on in my life and brought it to fruition in His timing. Working for Mark and with Steve is truly a blessing as they share their knowledge with me freely. As I go out and meet the listeners and Business Underwriters I am constanly reminded how special a group of people they are as they link arms with KCRN and partner in its ministry.
I love Texas!! I love West Texas and I love, love, love San Angelo!! I have never lived in a more friendly place and cannot imagine living anywhere else.
