Connie Carter asked us to pray for her niece, Monica - 31, who is having very serious brain surgery. She had a brain injury from an accident years ago and serious problems have just come about in this past year. Connie wasn’t sure of the exact date of the surgery yet. Connie’s sister, Monica’s mother, is very scared about this surgery too. Please keep them all in your prayers.
08/23/2011 A Loyal and faithful listener has called in and asked that we pray for Doug Richey, the Dand Director at christocval High School. Mr. Richey had a stroke last friday and surgery on Monday to relieve the pressure on his brain.

Bailey Carrillo and family were at Cook Children's on Tuesday and she was given a thorough battery of tests and MRI from 10:am until 2:30 pm. They will return to Cook Children's on Tuesday 8/23 to discuss the results with the doctors and other clinicians.
The news could be devastating or joyous. Regardless, Bailey is a believer in the Lord and we just ask that He will keep her, her parents, and family and friends strong and protected through whatever is in store, and we thank Him for the victory that is ours through Jesus Christ.

Corporal Darrell Campbell is in critical condition from being shot in the head after responding to a call of "shots fired" early Tuesday morning. He underwent surgery for a gunshot wound to the head and is in ICU at UMC in Lubbock, TX.

Can you please get the word out that we have a family in our head start program who lost their 11 year old son last Friday in a tragic incident. The family has very, very little resources to bury their son. Therefore, they are in need of some financial assistance desperately at this time. Connie Carter called today and said her 27-year old niece is having very delicate brain surgery in Dallas in September. It's complications from her breaking her neck ten years ago and she now has a brain tumor, but it's more complicated than that. Connie said her sister is really worried. Connie asked us to pray for them.

James Mitchell's 16 year old grand-daughter, Jaci was seriously injured last night in an auto accident in Fort Worth. She was thrown from her truck and broke her neck. She will be most likely be paralyzed from the chest down; will never walk and have no use of her hands.
She will undergo surgery this morning. The surgery will last six to eight hours and has only a two percent chance of actually helping her.
Please pray for Jaci as well as James and Phillis during this difficult time.

I write to you today in need of a favor. Some of my close family friends lost their home yesterday in a fire. The fire was started by an electrical miss-hap inside the wall. The Rodriquez family lost all their possessions for the second time yesterday, they were also the victims of a robbery about 2 months ago in which they lost literally all their electronics and anything of value. They were planning to move next weekend, when yesterday the home caught fire and literally burnt to the ground. These are normal folks, who would do anything for their friends and family. Both parents are hard workers and great parents to 3 beautiful children, Kylee 9, Logan about to be 4 next month and Nicholas 1 ½ years old. And to top this story off the mother's birthday is today! they have no clothes, shoes, furniture, or hygiene products. If you could put the word out to anyone you might know that could help, we all would be so thankful, I understand that these are hard times and people don't have much to spare, but anything would be so appreciated at this time. Please pray for a young foster child who was sent to live in the same household with a relative that abused him.Please pray for his protection and that he will be moved to a safe environment quickly. Please pray those in charge of his case do a better job of protecting this child or be replaced by those who will. Please pray the unsafe goal of reunification be changed to adoption so this child has a chance at life and this cycle of abuse can be broken. Please pray he will be returned to the loving Christian home that loves him deeply and longs to adopt him and raise him.

As of yesterday, doctor in Odessa has said he has done all he can do with Bailey re: her discomfort, vision problems and the effects of a brain chemistry that is rapidly changing, and overall, things aren't improving, but seemingly progressing. He is the only one in the area with some understanding of the neurofibramatosis. Bailey's parents are coordinating more frequently now with Cook Children's to let them know the local doc's frustrations.
Please keep family and Bailey in your prayers...this is a precious little Believer who is beginning to become a bit scared or concerned while also trying to stay strong for everybody else. This is a precious little family trying to juggle all the pressures of just daily life with three children, not to mention, coordinating everything with local and distant medical professionals to meet her needs and to keep her comfortable. Please continue to pray, and the family and I extend a huge thank you to all who lift Bailey up, in this time.
04/18/11 Please pray for my brother in law for healing. He has some kind of scar tissue on his lung, which is being tested for cancer. Also fluid on his lung. An artery on his neck may be partially blocked. He is 75 years old. Pray for healing.

To all of you who have been so faithful in your thoughts an prayers re: my precious Bailey. Thank you, and please keep her and the family in your prayers
Doctors advised yesterday that there are two spots (due to the neurofibromatosis) in her brain, at the brain stem, but they have not developed into tumors. That is always possible, but these have not. They also noted that she was a little weaker in strength on her left side which is also a symptom. She is very active and a cheerleader at her school so it must not be that pronounced. She may continue with some headaches and occasional dizziness but she is not in a life-threatening condition at this time.
They have referred her back to Odessa clinicians for neurotherapy and physical therapy. Cook Childrens' wants to see her back in July or August for further testing and a progress check.
Just wanted to give you an update. Thanks, again for your thoughts and prayers

03/02/11 UPDATE on BAILEY!!!! Family was notified yesterday that Bailey has a 3/24 appointment with a Cook Neurosurgeon, if they can't get her in sooner. Also, there is a Ronald McDonald house for lodging however Mom and Dad are not assured of a room unless there is a vacancy when they call 24 hrs. in advance. Please pray for wisdom and discernment for the Doctor and staff of Cook Childrens Hospital, Bailey's Healing and that Bailey and her family will be walking testimonies as to how they were sustained by the Holy Spirit at this difficult time.

She has been diagnosed with two tumors in her brain. She has been referred to Cook Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth. Bailey is a believer as is her family. Keep her parents, sibling and family in prayer for strength, wisdom and guidance. Pray for Divine healing for Bailey and wisdom for the Doctors and staff at Cook Childrens hospital.
