Alexa Nichols
Alexa Nichols was partially paralyzed in a diving accident on April 6, 2006. After hospitalization in San Angelo
for a couple of months, she has been transferred to Houston for rehabilitation. Check this website for updates.

Sarah Hessler
Sarah Hessler, a 24 yr. old teacher at Wall, was involved in a head-on car wreck in early May while traveling home from Austin after taking a Wall student to a UIL competition. She is currently in Austin undergoing treatment for serious injuries. A fund has been set up to help her family with travel expenses and medical bills. You can direct your offerings to:

San Angelo Firefighter, Tommy Schafer
Firefighter Tommy Schafer is fighting t-cell leukemia. He has worked for the Texas Forest Service since 1998. He fought fire in extreme seasons from 1998-2004, helped with the Shuttle Columbia Recovery in East Texas, and traveled to Florida in 2004 with a hurricane response team. He has incurred many large hospital bills. An account has been set-up to help him at any Bank of America. Just ask for the Tommy Schafer Benefit Fund. Community Bible Study

* The CBS Daytime Class (a women’s class) meets at Southland Baptist Church on Wednesday mornings beginning September 5th at 10:00 am. for worship & music, group study, and a lecture. This year the study will cover the book of Acts. Teaching director has been a series of trained leaders as they search for a director, Children's director is Liz Bates, and Coordinator is Jeanette Bennett - 949-1199.


* The CBS Evening Class (men and women) meets at The Heights Baptist Church from 7:00-8:35 pm every Monday night beginning August 27. Dr. Ken Rees and Frank Stringer teach the class and they will be covering The Divided Kingdom. Call 655-5824 to register.
