A letter from Mark...
Dear Friend,
I would like to invite you to join me as a founding member of a ministry
of helps for KCRN. The Amos Group is patterned after the Old Testament
prophet, Amos, who was known as a burden bearer. Note the following
profile of this simple man of God.
During this
17th year of KCRN's broadcast outreach, our local staff would like
to launch a ministry of helps, key friends like you who are
already donors to KCRN who have demonstrated a heartfelt interest in
local Christian radio.
A couple of times a year, we would send out a letter updating you on
the ministry activities of KCRN: spiritual, operational or project related.
Absolutely no strings attached. Respond as you are able.
Listed above are possible ways to serve as little or as much as you
are able. Thank you in advance for "lovin' on" KCRN in Christ's name
for His glory.
Serving Christ and West Texans,
Mark Mohr
KCRN Manager

Amos, the Burden Bearer "Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?"
Amos 3:3
"Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan."
Amos 3:7
"I will restore...I will repair...and build it as it used to be."
Amos 9:11, 13
Amos was a man of God who was skilled in a ministry of sharing which
included "truth-telling" and at times he delivered his message to the
people who found it a hard-listen.
Amos was from Tekoa, a small town about 6 miles south of Bethlehem and
11 miles from Jerusalem. Amos earned his living from tending his flock
of sheep and maintaining a sycamore-fig grove. He worked hard and alongside
others.
The God for whom Amos speaks is a God of more than Israel. He is Lord
over all and he has purposes and concerns that reach far beyond the borders
as we see them.
Amos preached that people must faithfully consecrate themselves to the
Lordship of God Almighty.
Yet, ultimately, Amos the Burden Bearer brought hope and was a bearer
of Good News!
